Building blocks the foundations for a good beginning.

To every idea there was a beginning, that idea starts off as thought and then that thought is built upon a creative process. Then it is worked into a plan. That plan is then implemented.
In the American education these ideas keep coming and going. One persons ideas are added and subtracted to our daily lives as teachers. Then another comes along to add and suggest and we change our thoughts, behaviors, our actions. Just like our lives are never stopped our education process is contenualy changing. This change can be difficult for some and exciting for others. But if your foundation in education is solid and you feel confident then it doesn't matter how the blocks are arranged. Or does it?
If American education is build on the educational history of other societies and of course its own young history then why do we keep trying to improve it? Is it in our nature to keep trying to improve? There is a famous quote from president Ronald Regan where he said we need to look to our past to see our future and live for it.
"While I take inspiration from the past, like most Americans, I live for the future."

This living for the future is an everyday occurrence in our classrooms. From preschool to college we are teaching one block at a time building on the teachers who taught before us. We hope to educate and teach our students to be better for their next educational step. That is using the past to look to the future.
As a future teacher leader I hope to build up not only my students, but my community around me. I hope to support teachers and paraprofessionals in their goals. I hope to create solid relationships through effective communication and discussions.
Through out this program and course I hope to gain the skills, build on talents and understand how to lead myself and others. Through this process I will be adding on to the foundation of my own education, personal philosophy and build myself to be a better teacher.
